With the summer heat at this time of the year, it’s easy to find reasons to visit the malls. So when a friend recommended the outlet Sugarfactory in Dubai Festival City, we thought we’d give it a try.

Tucked in a cosy corner of Dubai Festival City, this place is the dream of every candy lover especially when you see the large candy space at the entrance.

But it’s not just the candy that’s cool – enter in and the large area of this restaurant is impressive. Overlooking the waterfront is another plus!

The afternoon we visited, our three 3 girls were as hungry as always and were looking forward to a lovely lunch. The best seats are next to the large doors that overlook the newest water attraction at Festival City – Imagine.

The friendly waiter suggested the platter of fried starters and recommended we try their collection of Insane Milkshakes. We couldn’t think of a reason why we shouldn’t and so we went ahead and ordered three Insane Milkshakes!! It was the weekend after all! Names like Chocolate Rocky Road, Peanut Butter and Jelly and Nutella Banana had us drooling.

When the milkshakes did arrive, my three girls couldn’t believe their eyes! Extra-large mugs with frozen chocolate on the outside, large scoops of vanilla and plenty of candy generously dunked in the cream toppings.

In between bites of food and sips of delicious milkshakes, we found out that the Insane Milkshakes have been a hit after they were introduced several months ago

They are popular back in the United States as well, where the Insane Milkshakes originated. The outside of the large glasses are rolled in chocolate and chilled, making them very unique in their presentation as you could eat the outside of the chocolate covered glass too!

As a group of little children were celebrating the birthday of a friend in the restaurant, their corner was filled with balloons and squeals of delight. And then as if on cue, my seven year old daughter asked if she could have her next birthday party here as well. Imagine the squeals of delight from a group of excited children when they lay eyes on large chocolate covered glasses of candy filled milkshakes! Think this is why Sugarfactory would be a great venue for a kiddie party!!!

Overall it was a very pleasant afternoon and we cannot wait to go back. And we will make sure to stay as hungry as possible before getting there next time so we can do better justice to their massive Insane Milkshakes!!!==
